1.
PREPARATION - Research, Identity requirements, logo, branding,
company structure, etc. How well does your prototype reflect that
you've analyzed and researched the elements given by The Starwood
Beach Resort? |

2.
PROTOTYPING - Did you "Greek" or did you create copy? Does your
prototype have a natural "flow," no matter which way you created the
copy? |
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
3.
PERFORMANCE - Usability and User Engagement - will the technology
support your content? Are the actions you propose and the results a
user will get, realistic and in good design,
interface-wise? |
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
4.
PRACTICE - Does your prototype show what you've learned through
practice on earlier projects? This would include placement of items,
visual techniques, use of color, etc. as they apply to sensible
USABILITY. These are the criteria that show me "where you've been,"
and how it's come into play in the final project. |

5.
PRESENTATION - Is this pleasing and professional? Is your design an
accumulation of your design background and the new skills we've
learned in CWD920? How well is the TOTAL PACKAGE
presented? |

Jane -- What
a wonderful total package you've presented! Your summary shines, as
does the visual and interactive portion of your proposed site!
You've more than met the requirements for the objectives of this
project ... What a strikingly beautiful and unique look and feel
these pages have! I love this circular navigation scheme ... it
causes people to 'think outside the box.' Yet, it's so very well
organized that your visitor doesn't ever get lost. I like the subtle
glow of the rollover effect, as well as the informational dropdown
... extremely good use of interface techniques. You've included the
same elements and striking design in both of your proposed home
pages ... and both show a highly refined sense of usability, and the
effect of beautiful design on the visitor's eye and psyche. This is
such a fun site! I also like the well-blocked areas of navigation
and buttons on the internal page ... and perhaps out of all the
projects, you've shown a real intuitive knowledge of FAMILY ... the
inclusion of things like Sculpture gardens and Artist colonies and
underwater caverns -- what a delight! Also, I think you were the
only one to include a Recommended Reading link ... for families
pondering such an expensive getaway, this was a real smart item to
include! Most Mom's will head right there! Great job on this
project!!
