 
WBI and Ms. Ross's First Grade Class: What a wonderful web site! Thank you, Bev! Hey, this is a MUST SEE AND DO page. But then, I'm a fanatic for this age group, and children's books! For one thing, I find it amazing that Ms. Ross has collected over 17000 visitors to this page. The site is part of a Web ring of sites in this genre, so it appears that the use of the Internet in early elementary, is becoming widespread. Ms. Ross's page is loads of fun -- even the assignments are fun! Check out the spelling list. They've implemented a java-run tool for flashcards that is pretty cool. Perhaps the hardest part for Ms. Ross's first graders, is prying the mouse out of their parent's hand! Ms. Ross's favorite links led me to my Discovery of the Week ... one of my favorite children's authors/illustrators, Jan Brett, has a tremendous page, Jan Brett's Children's Literature Site - A great place for ideas! — at: http://www.janbrett.com/. It's worth a close scrutiny. This woman has a wonderful style for children's illustrations. And she has a whole section of free greeting cards you can send.
